Belvie Chocolate was founded in 2016 by by Ms Jannie Ha Tran (Vietnamese) and Marc Vanborren (Belgian).
It is a bean-to-bar chocolate company that combines Belgian know-how with a commitment to ethical and sustainable business practices. As a bean-to-bar chocolate maker, Belvie Chocolate controls the entire chocolate-making process, from sourcing the cocoa beans to producing the finished chocolate bars. This allows them to ensure the quality of their chocolate and to work directly with farmers to promote fair and sustainable trade practices.
The compagnie works with farmers from different terroirs in Vietnam: Dong Nai, Tien Giang, Ben Tre and Lam Dong, all bringing different flavours to the chocolate.
Belvie Chocolate is committed to ethical business practices, with a focus on building long-term relationships with farmers and supporting their communities. They work directly with about 20 local farmers to source their cocoa beans, paying fair prices and providing support for sustainable farming practices. By prioritizing ethical sourcing and inclusive business practices, Belvie Chocolate is helping to build a more sustainable and equitable chocolate industry.
Belvie produces about 5,000 kg of chocolate per year.
